Dr. Glenn
Scibilia is a Corneal
Trained Ophthalmologist who specializes in Corneal Diseases, Refractive Surgery
and Transplant Surgery. His primary practice is based in Bay Shore, Long
Island.
Dr. Scibilia
received his training at the New York Medical College. Having completed his
Medical Internship and Ophthalmology Residency, he served as Chief
Resident in his senior year of training.
Dr. Scibilia
later received extensive training in corneal diseases, transplant surgery and
refractive surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
As a distinguished faculty member of the Division of Ophthalmology at the
University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Scibilia was responsible for the clinical
education of the residents and medical students. During his tenure, he
published and presented different research projects at National Forums.
He received his subspecialty training in
Laser Vision Correction at the University
of Connecticut in conjunction with The New England Eye Institute.
Dr Scibilia
was one of the first surgeons to perform Laser Vision Correction in this country
since its FDA approval in January 1996. He was also one of the first Surgeons on Long Island to perform the LASIK
procedure.
